Did you know that your soul “speaks” to you all the time? In the rushing waters, the gentle breezes, the trees sighing in the wind, the soul calms the heart and offers unconditional love to all who will listen and feel. We have all experienced these times of deep unity with all that is, and with that part of us that is always connected.
But that sense of sacred connection is only the first step in getting to know your soul. The soul “speaks” in many other ways as well, ways that often do not involve sound and almost never make sense logically. So we are quick to dismiss or ignore valuable information coming from a very deep and wise part of ourselves.
Not only is this communication often dismissed because it is not verbal or logically explainable, but also because we don’t believe that any part of us personally could produce this kind of wisdom. Most of us don’t really love ourselves, nor trust that we might have a source of inner wisdom available to us at all times.
But we do.
The soul speaks energetically and poetically, not logically. It communicates in whole thoughts and images rather than linear language. It arranges meaningful experiences through synchronicities, metaphorical language and symbolic images. It loves the landscape of dreams and often makes itself known there. It sees our lives from a higher perspective that is impossible to reach without its help. It loves us unconditionally and seeks conscious recognition, communication and co-creation.
It is eternal.
Where is the soul? It resides both inside and outside us at the same time. It is multidimensional and omnipresent.
The part outside is able to maintain a higher, more expansive perspective because it participates in the divine connection of all creation. The part inside us coordinates our physical, emotional, mental and spiritual energy when allowed to do so. We are surrounded and infused by our souls at all times.
Even though the soul is always with us, we do not usually recognize its language because we have not been taught how to detect or interpret it. But this knowledge is available, and like any skill, the more you practice, the easier it is.
Learning to work with the soul rather than at cross-purposes will change your life. Instead of constantly trying to swim up river, working with your soul allows you to enter the divine flow of life that moves you along with much less effort and conflict. Gaining a soul perspective brings a sense of purpose and understanding not available any other way. Experiencing soul love gives you a source of divine energy and a real sense of how to love yourself.
